Il sito performancing.com offre un interessante servizio di analisi e statistiche sugli accessi del vostro blog, il tutto gratuitamente. Per utilizzarlo con WordPress viene però richiesta la modifica manuale di un file del template (footer.php) per inserire lo script necessario.
Questo plugin evita semplicemente di dover fare questa modifica: basta attivarlo e siete a posto!

Aggiornamento 20/03/2006. La versione 1.1 del plugin comprende alcuni miglioramenti allo script originale, per evitare che vengano conteggiati accessi a singoli articoli del blog anche quando si visualizza semplicemente la homepage o altre pagine o gli archivi, ecc. Offre inoltre la possibilità di escludere il conteggio delle visite dell’amministratore o comunque di un utente che abbia effefftuato il login. La versione 1.11 contiene solo piccoli aggiustamenti.

AGGIORNAMENTO 24/01/2007. IL SERVIZIO PERFORMANCING METRICS E’ STATO CHIUSO! Questo plugin, di conseguenza, è diventato totalmente inutile…

ISTRUZIONI:

1. Creare un account su performancing.com!
2. Scaricare il file zip del plugin (la versione attuale è la 1.11).
3. Estrarre il file zelig-performancing.php nella cartella dei plugin della vostra installazione di WordPress (wp-content/plugins).
4. (SOLO PER LA VERSIONE 1.11) eventualmente modificare il valore della variabile $track_admin nel file del plugin se si desidera escludere il conteggio delle visite dell’amministratore (di default vengono contate).
5. Entrare nel pannello di amministrazione di WordPress, aprire la pagina dei Plugin e attivare il plugin stesso.

Funziona con WordPress 1.5 e 2.0.

DOWNLOAD:

• Versione 1.11 in italiano (inserisce la versione migliorata dello script originale).
• Versione 1.0 (inserisce lo script originale fornito da performancing.com).

Update 03/20/2006. Version 1.1 introduces some improvements in the original script, to avoid counting readings of single blog posts even when just showing the homepage or other archives or pages! It gives also the option to exclude the count of logged-in users od administrator’s visits. Version 1.11 adds some small fixes only.

UPDATE 01/24/2007. PERFORMANCING METRICS HAS BEEN CLOSED! So now this plugin has become completely useless…

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Create an account on performancing.com!
2. Download the zip file (current version is 1.11).
3. Extract the zelig-performancing.php file into the plugins directory in your WordPress installation (wp-content/plugins).
4. (VERSION 1.11 ONLY) in case, change the value of $track_admin variable in the plugin file, if you want to exclude the count of administrator’s visits (counted by default).
5. Log in to WordPress administration. Go to the Plugins page and Activate this plugin.

Works with WordPress 1.5 and 2.0.
