Performancing.com gives you a very complete and interesting analysis and statistics service about your blog’s visits, and all for free. However, to use it with a WordPress blog, you need to edit a template file (footer.php) and add the required script.
With this plugin, you don’t need to do that anymore: just activate it and enjoy! 
Update 03/20/2006. Version 1.1 introduces some improvements in the original script, to avoid counting readings of single blog posts even when just showing the homepage or other archives or pages! It gives also the option to exclude the count of logged-in users od administrator’s visits. Version 1.11 adds some small fixes only.
UPDATE 01/24/2007. PERFORMANCING METRICS HAS BEEN CLOSED! So now this plugin has become completely useless… 
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Create an account on performancing.com!
- Download the zip file (current version is 1.11).
- Extract the zelig-performancing.php file into the plugins directory in your WordPress installation (wp-content/plugins).
- (VERSION 1.11 ONLY) in case, change the value of $track_admin variable in the plugin file, if you want to exclude the count of administrator’s visits (counted by default).
- Log in to WordPress administration. Go to the Plugins page and Activate this plugin.
Works with WordPress 1.5 and 2.0.
DOWNLOAD:
- Version 1.11 english (integrates the enhanced script version).
- Version 1.0 (integrates the original performancing.com script).

Zelig, I wondered if we could combine our plugins and make it less confusing to have multiple plugins out there. I had already included most of the changes that you had made with recognizing pages, but I disagree with how you ignore admins. Most people I think want to the option to not track actual admin users (users with a level of 8 or higher). What do you think?

Hi Dave, I’ve seen your new plugin today and I think is almost perfect. Mine is a very simple thing I made mainly for myself, it’s not a competition with you…
I don’t know if it’s better to exclude only admin users or all of them, I’m the only user on my blog so it’s not a big difference to me! Of course someone else could prefere to do it your way. Maybe you could add the option to set the user level from whitch start tracking, so everyone can choose?
Zelig, I think I will include an option to set the user level of ignoring tracking and I’ll work to make it under the new 0.3 version. I’m working on including the Metrics API so you can even view your stats from within your blog (under the Dashboard). I’ll let you know when I finish if you want to try it out or not!

quanto tempo ci vuole perchè le statistiche siano visualizzate?
Davide, per la mia esperienza, già dopo poche ore dovresti cominciare a vedere i primi dati.
ok, funziona, da quello che mi è parso di capire gli servono 4 ore per entrare in funzione.

doppo attivare il plugin, vedo il source code dalla mia web e non si vede niente dal codice di performancing.
Non doveve questo plugin inserire un codice simile a quello che si doveva inserire manualmente ?

E’ proprio così, German. Non capisco cosa intendi con “non si vede niente dal codice di performancing”. Forse non vedi le statistiche (metrics)?

infatti, doppo inserire il codice originale di performancing in footer.php e ricaricare la pagina, si vedo il codice fonte dalla mia web posso vedere questo:
z_post_title=”Resilencia: el potencial oculto”;
z_post_category=”Ciencia”;
Pero con il tuo plugin, dopo attivarlo e ricaricare la mia web, non trovo nessun codice simile a queste.
E veramente mi pare che anche performancing no riceve gli statistics quando utilizzo il tuo plugin.
Perció questa mattina ho dovuto mettere nuovamente il codice di performancing in footer.php.

German, gli unici casi in cui il codice non viene inserito sono:
1) quando si è impostata la variabile $track_admin nel file del plugin come “false” e si carica la pagina web dopo aver fatto il login come amministratore (ma di default il valore della variabile è “true”).
2) se nel file footer.php del template che si sta usando è stata eliminata la riga
<?php do_action(‘wp_footer’); ?>
Non mi vengono in mentre altre possibilità!
io fatto tutto quello che dovevo fare ma ora le statistiche da dove le leggo? dal web entrando su performancing? è necessario aggiungere il plugin alla sidebar widgets o è arbitrario? e di statcounter che ne pensate? thanks.
non avendo inserito info relative al mio blog nella registrazione su performancing immagino che il plugin serva a quello, o sbaglio?
@magogae: devi registrarti su performancing.com e inserire i dati del tuo blog, poi attivi il plugin (non c’è nulla da aggiungere da nessuna parte) e infine vai a guardarti le statistice (metrics) sul sito di performancing.
Leggo che per escludere il conteggio delle visite dell’amministratore bisogna modificare il valore della variabile $track_admin nel file del plugin. Ovvero? cosa bisogna mettere?
Bisogna mettere “false” invece di “true” (apri il file con il blocco note, modifica il valore dove indicato e salva).
